Agricultural Mulch Film

This crops manual has been prepared in response to the suggestions given by the Seedsmen Association with the purpose of distributing to the member seed companies to cater the needs of marketing field force. An attempt has been made to address the importance of seed, problems faced by the field force and handling complaints in the part-A with the help of colored images at maximum places as far as possible.
The Part-B of the manual consists of diseases, pests, nutrional deficiencies, their identification and management/control with appropriate photographs on important field crops like maize, cotton, rice, red gram, jowar and bajra. Vegetable crops like chilli, tomato, okra, gourds and watermelon have also been covered.

Dr. Sonti Venkateshwarulu was awarded two gold medals and chancellor’s medal during 1972. He obtained Ph.D in Plant Breeding and Genetics from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University and engaged in research and teaching for 5 years, during that period got the opportunity his pegion pea research work to the father of Indian Green Revolution, Prof. M.S. Swaminathan, who appreciated the work very much. Venkateshwarlu was very fortunate to be the student of Prof. Swaminathan at his post graduate level.
Served the AP Agril. University s a Breeder from 1981 to 1989 and had the opportunity of working at different research stations and exposure to farming community and established good rapport with the Departmental officials
Joined private seed industry during 1898 and gained some pratical experience on farmers field problems, compliants handling while working with HLL, Kaveri seeds, JK Agri Genetics and finally Sun Crop Sciences. After retirement (2007), floated his own seed company (Sun Crop Sciences Pvt ltd) during 2009 and joined hands with the famous NCL group to strengthen the business.

1. Hind Ratan Award from Global Achievers Foundation, New Delhi, 2018.
2. Best Seed Scientist award from Seedsmen Association, Hyd in 2018.
3. Krishi Bhushan Award from Krish Manthan National Agri Business, MP in 2019.
4. Life Time Achievement Award (Agri), Time – 2 leap Awards, Bangalore 2020
