NABL Accreditation to Ajeet Seeds Pvt. Ltd.

National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), a constituent Board of Quality Council of India (QCI) has recently granted accreditation to the Quality Assurance (QA) division of Ajeet Seeds Pvt. Ltd. (ASPL), in accordance with ISO/ISE 17025:2017 for testing in the Biological discipline.  The accreditation is further due to be extended at the international level by International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) – Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA). Two locations, Seed Testing Laboratory located at Chitegaon and Plant Biotechnology Research Center located at Hanumantgaon will be carrying out the testing for various Biological parameters. The testing facility includes DNA fingerprinting, Parental Line Purity and Hybrid Purity of crop plants. Seed testing can be done for Germination, Physical Purity and Moisture Content. In addition to this, plant material can be tested for detection of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs). Testing also involves identification of Genetically Modified proteins such as Bt toxins, expressed in transgenic plants using Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Ajeet Seeds Pvt. Ltd. is one of its own kind of laboratory in India, accredited by NABL to cover 11 testing scopes in the field of Biological Testing relevant to Seed industries, under one roof. Seed companies could avail these testing services for authentic quality assurance tests for their products and germplasm. Certified testing reports can now be made available with NABL logo.
