Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar inaugurates unit of Britannia Industries in Patna

Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated a unit of Britannia Industries Limited, having a production capacity of 70,000 tonnes of biscuits, at Bihta in Patna district.
Built at a cost of over Rs 250 crore, this is the second unit of Britannia in the state after the one inaugurated at Hajipur in 2011. It will provide jobs to around a thousand people.
Accompanied by Varun Berry, vice-chairman and managing director of Britannia Industries Limited, Nitish saw the production process at the biscuit plant and expressed satisfaction over the development.
“The second unit of Britannia has started operations in the state. The further it progresses, the better it will be for Bihar. More people will get employment opportunities,” Nitish said.
