Indian seed industry and the world lost a gem, Mr. Satyanarayan Badrinarayan Rathi

Mr. Satyanarayan Badrinarayan Rathi was born on 4 Jan 1952 in a farmer’s family in Jalna district. He was a Science graduate, worked teacher for few years & then turned to agriculture industry. He was always intersted in modern technology, a pioneer distributor in drip irrigation & sprinkler irrigation. Jalna district always had been a good producer of citrus, he formed Citrus farmers association in Maharashtra, brought together many farmers. He worked in Seed industry for about 40 years & had a network throught India.
In 2009 , Rathi brought together seed people’s under the title of MASA Maha Seedsmen Association. Seed companies from MS , KTK , AP , TS , MP , GUJ states joined MASA. the seed producers & seed marketing industry to resolve the difficulties of seed industry.
With a good handling of seed industry problems at commissionerate of agriculture , secretory agriculture , agriculture minister , national level departments. He was a personality with good repo , good relationship at various government. His seed company Green line Hybrid is working from Jalna. His seed shop Rathi Seeds is a reputed name amoung farmers of the localities of Jalna district.
Gubba acknowledges Rathiji for the person he was, very humble and for the immense contribution he made to the seed industry and to the world. May he rest in power.
