National Seed association of India organised a seed distribution in Amethi, UP

The National Seed association of India on 8th Nov 2019, organised a seed distribution in Amethi, UP. Over 175 women were given vegetable seeds to battle malnutrition and aid the government’s saagwari scheme in rural Uttar Pradesh. Incumbent MLA from Amethi Rani Garima Singh presided over event and distributed seeds. Program Director Indra Shekhar Singh represented NSAI along with Sawmitra Singh, Regional Manager NSL UP at the event.
Speaking at the event Rani Garima Singh said, “Seeds are the key to prosperity of our farmers. These seeds will help women battle malnutrition and ensure their children and families get fresh good food. I commend the National Seed Association of India for bringing joy to Amethi.”
Two hour long event saw organised in the Mahila Vidyalaya in the centre of the Amethi block and had women from all over the constituency. “NSAI is committed to India. Good seeds are the pillar of a healthy rural economy and food system. We are grateful for this opportunity to serve the women and children of Amethi,” said Indra Shekhar Singh addressing the women.
The seed packets given had seeds of many vegetables like spinach, lady finger etc.
