Odisha’s New Food Park Inaugurated With Big Brands on Board

Odisha’s industrial landscape received a major boost on Thursday, Feb 15 with the inauguration of the New Food Park in Khurda by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. This state-of-the-art facility, established by IDCO, is set to attract leading food and beverage companies like Pepsi, Nestle, and Indo Nissin, along with their ancillary units.
“The advent of these companies will provide employment to thousands of youths of the state,” said CM Patnaik. The Chief Minister also expressed gratitude to the people of Khurda for their continuous support in fostering industrial growth in the region.
Construction for 10 industrial units is already underway, demonstrating the project’s rapid progress. To empower women workers, the government plans to build large-sized hostels in three locations near the Food Park, further underlining its commitment to inclusive development.
This development marks a significant step forward for Odisha’s food processing industry, attracting major investments and creating exciting opportunities for employment and economic growth. With renowned brands like Pepsi and Nestle setting up shop, the Food Park is poised to become a key player in India’s food processing sector.
