Participated in the inaugural session of the 20th BioAsia 2023, Asia’s largest Life Sciences and Healthcare forum, happening for 3 days until the 26th, in #Hyderabad.

“BioAsia has consistently played a crucial role in the development of Life Sciences industry in #Telangana and #India and has attracted the participation of global leaders from over a 100 countries.
With a vision to promote and enable an ecosystem for #LifeSciences, Telangana has led the way to develop, promote and propagate an enabling ecosystem. Hyderabad is the only city in India that has an ever growing Genome Valley, an expanding Medtech Park and the upcoming world’s largest, Pharma City.
We had set out a vision of doubling our ecosystem value to $100 billion by 2030 which was considered as ambitious by some, but proud to declare that we had already touched $80 Bn. by 2022. This represents a phenomenal ecosystem value growth in Telangana at a mind-boggling 23% over the last 2 year’s compared to the national average of about 14%. I am confident that we will achieve our target of $ 100 Bn. by 2025 itself, five years ahead of schedule.
We have been able to attract new #investments of more than $ 3 Bn. while creating #employment of more than 4.5 lakh jobs in the last 7 years. Our ultimate aim is to make Telangana the knowledge capital of the world’s Life Sciences industry. It is delightful to know that 4 of the top 10 global innovator companies now have a direct presence in Hyderabad through their dedicated centres.
I envision that by 2030, the value of the Life Sciences ecosystem will cross $ 240 Bn. We will work on a program to position Hyderabad as the ‘HEALTH-TECH Mecca’ of the world!”
