“PM’s vision of digital health coming to shape in G20”: Dr Krishna Ella

The 3rd Health Working Group meeting as part of India’s G20 Presidency is being held in Hyderabad. The three-day meeting commenced on June 04 have a main event and also a side event, with a focus on collaboration on R&D in Medical Counter Measures (MCMs). Apart from India, delegates from 19 G20 member states, 10 invited countries, and 22 international organisations are participating in the third HWG meeting. Lauding India’s G20 Presidency, Executive Chairman of Bharat Biotech International Ltd., Dr Krishna M Ella said, “I am happy that we are having G20 meeting in Hyderabad. The Government of India is talking about digital health and everybody is now agreeing that digital health is very important. The PM’s vision of digital health is coming to shape in the G 20 also. We have shown in the vaccine what we can do as a vaccine company or as a vaccine country.” “It is just a fantastic two days. Really good conversations and it is great to see India’s presidency leading on the whole medical countermeasures as well as digital health. Two big areas of work, very important for the next pandemic,” said PATH India Director Neeraj Jain.
