Shamalbhai B Patel re-elected as chairman of Amul

Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has re-elected Shamalbhai B Patel and Valamjibhai Humbal as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively.
Patel and Humbal have been re-elected to their respective posts after the election was conducted by the deputy collector, Anand. The election was conducted in the presence of 17 out of 18 members, who are chairmen representing their district milk unions in the state.
The GCMMF election was held after a gap of more than two years. The last election was held in July 2020. GCMMF is the umbrella body of up of 18 member unions covering 33 districts.
Shamalbhai B Patel is the Chairman of Sabarkantha District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., Sabar dairy, and associated with dairy cooperatives of Gujarat for the last 33 years.
Humbal is the Chairman of Kutch District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Ltd., Sarhad Dairy, for the last 13 years.
GCMMF is India’s largest food products organisation. It markets a wide range of milk and related products under the brand name Amul.
